4. This was our first stop this morning. The Museum Complex.

5. Along with all the things to see inside the museum there was an outdoor part of the museum near this building.

Once inside the museum we were given a short briefing on what all was available for us to see there. Joining us in the briefing was a large group of soldiers, almost one soldier for every two of us. These soldiers, male and female, escorted us through the museum and answered all our questions. They had questions for us too.

8. We discovered this photo in the museum. The photo shows a group of the guys I served with in Vietnam in Company D of the 39th Engineer Battalion.

13. This panoramic photo was on the wall just inside the museum. It shows what Fort Leonard Wood looked like in 1941. These old wooden barracks were built for World War II and ended up being used for the Korean War and us Vietnam Veterans used them too. Most of these barracks are gone now but a small group has been kept and is a part of the outdoor museum complex. Our next stop was to tour these old barracks.

14. A tornado passed through this area recently and some of the buildings had to be put back together again. Due to this we were not allowed to enter the buildings.

15. There is memorial park next to the old barracks and we spent some time there talking and taking photos.
